Upgrading the memory on your HP Mini can give your laptop some much
needed speed. Increasing the memory in your laptop will allow your
programs to run faster, your operating system will work more
efficiently, and as a result, you will be able to get more work done in a
shorter period of time. If you've already worked through every other
method to speed up your HP Mini, upgrading the memory is your best bet
to boost the performance of your laptop
Instructions
1. Turn your computer off and unplug any cables that are connected to your HP Mini laptop.
2. Turn your laptop over and position it so the side that opens is opposite you.
3. Push and hold the battery-release latch, located just above the left
side of the HP Mini battery, to the right. Lift and remove the battery
from the battery bay.
4. Press the SIM card, located along the front-right edge of the laptop,
in. The SIM card will then eject so that about one-quarter inch of the
card is exposed. Pull the card out of the SIM card slot.
5. Push and hold the battery-release latch to the right.
6. Lift and remove the memory module cover, located just above the battery-release latch.
7. Push the retaining clips on each of the short sides of the memory module
away from the memory module. The memory module will tilt upward
slightly.
8. Lift and remove the memory module.
9. Place the new memory module into the memory module slot.
10. Push the retaining clips in toward the memory module. The memory module will lower and lock into place.
11. Place the memory module cover back on the memory module bay and press down on it gently until it locks into place.
12. Slide the SIM card back into the SIM card slot along the front-right edge of the laptop.
13. Slide the battery back into the battery bay and press down until it locks into place.
14. Turn your HP Mini laptop right-side up.
