The HP Mini netbooks have easily accessible memory modules in the event
that you want to upgrade your RAM, or you are having a problem and need
to reseat the RAM in the memory module. Most HP Mini netbook models
support up to 2 GB of RAM, so you can expand your memory to improve
performance. The memory module is a user-upgradable unit and it takes
approximately five minutes to replace or reseat your memory.
Instructions
1. Turn off your HP Mini netbook. Disconnect the power adapter from the
computer. Remove any other peripherals, such as a mouse, that you may
have connected. Close the lid and turn the netbook over.
2. Slide the battery lock to the unlocked position. Slide the battery release and remove the battery from the netbook.
3. Press the flat head screwdriver into the memory module release located
next to the battery lock slider. Press the memory module cover up and
away from the netbook. Press the side tabs away from the memory and
remove it from the slot. Swap the memory with a new RAM stick or reseat
your original RAM stick. Press the cover into place and slide the
battery into its slot.
