1. Power down your HP Mini 2102, HP Mini 210 or Compaq Mini 210 netbook. Unplug the power cable from the netbook, and disconnect any external devices. Pick up the netbook and place it upside down on a flat surface. Position the battery so it is next to you.2. Move the battery lock latch on the right side of the battery to the left into the "Unlock" position. Move the battery release latch on the left side of the battery to the right until the battery pops slightly out of its bay. Remove the battery from the HP or Compaq netbook.

3. Press the base cover release button for the right side of the base cover
along the far right side of the battery bay. Carefully pull up on the
right side of the base cover to loosen it. Press the base cover release
button for the left side of the base cover along the middle-left side of
the back wall. Remove the base cover from the HP or Compaq netbook.
4. Remove the screw above the center of the hard drive bay, which is
located directly above the right side of the battery bay, with a
Phillips screwdriver. Remove the screws just outside of the upper left
and right corners of the battery bay to loosen the keyboard.
5. Turn the HP or Compaq netbook right side up. Open the display and push
it back as far as you can. Lift the back section of the keyboard and
place it, keys down, in front of the mouse touch pad. Locate the ribbon
cable connecting the keyboard to the netbook. Carefully lift up the
plastic piece that is holding the ribbon cable in the netbook, and then
remove the ribbon cable from the netbook.
6. Insert the ribbon cable from the new keyboard into the HP or Compaq netbook, and slide the keyboard into the keyboard bay. Close the display, turn the netbook upside-down and position it so the battery bay is closest to you.
7. Replace the three screws that fasten the keyboard to the HP or Compaq
netbook using a Phillips screwdriver. Replace the base cover and press
down until it clicks and locks into place.
8. Slide the battery into the battery bay, and carefully push down on it until it clicks into place. Move the battery lock latch on the right side of the battery to the right into the "Lock" position.
9. Turn the HP or Compaq netbook right side up.
6. Insert the ribbon cable from the new keyboard into the HP or Compaq netbook, and slide the keyboard into the keyboard bay. Close the display, turn the netbook upside-down and position it so the battery bay is closest to you.
8. Slide the battery into the battery bay, and carefully push down on it until it clicks into place. Move the battery lock latch on the right side of the battery to the right into the "Lock" position.
