HP Mini computers are small form factor personal computers that are
designed to inexpensively replace older tower computers. The small size
of an HP Mini enables its installation in more locations than a
traditional full-size desktop tower computer. For many HP Mini
computers, wireless connectivity is an option that may or may not be
included with the system. You can add an external Wi-Fi jack to an HP
Mini by installing a USB wireless adapter to enable wireless
connectivity for your system.
Instructions
1. Insert the driver disc provided with the USB wireless adapter and follow
the on-screen prompts to install the driver software for the USB
adapter.
2. Insert the wireless adapter into an available USB port on the HP Mini.
3. Click the wireless network icon in the lower right corner of the screen
by the clock. The icon looks like a series of bars with an orange star
in the middle of it.
4. Click the desired wireless network. This is most likely the network with the strongest signal, represented with the most bars.
5. Click "Connect." Enter the wireless network or WEP key, if prompted.
