Access 2007: Hide Form Control

Microsoft (MS) Access 2007 has a feature that allows fields on a form to be hidden based upon other values in the form. Alternately, the field can be hidden from the user's view without specifying conditions.

Conditions

For a field to be hidden based on conditions, at least two controls must be on the form. For example, one field can ask for age and if the value does not meet the required voting age, the second field, requesting voter registration county, will not appear.

Visibility

If the database administrator does not want the field to be visible, he can select "No" under the "Visible" option for the field in the Properties tab.

Tip

It is helpful to include graphics on a form; however, ensure the fields that appear under certain conditions are not hidden by the graphics.
